NEWARK, N.J. – Luis Figeuroa of Bronx, New York, was indicted in a 3-state crime spree that spanned from Pennsylvania to New York before it finally came to an end near the George Washington Bridge after a crash.
The indictment was passed by a grand jury and Figeuroa now faces six counts, including aggravated sexual abuse, kidnapping, assaulting a federal employee and brandishing a firearm in the commission of a violent crime.
Figeuroa was arrested in June following a day of mayhem.
According to the authorities, a woman in Pennsylvania was a victim who was abducted and sexually abused by Figeuroa. He also stole the vehicle of a national park employee in New Jersey whom he assaulted. He then torched a car dealership in New Jersey before he stole an SUV. After all these incidents, he was finally arrested in New York after a crash when he tried to flee.
